As we've already established, the ipf version is free of many of the bugs that plague the adf version(s), the worst of which (IMO) is the injured player/penalty kicks game-breaker.
I see that Steve Camber has made a version of PM without PBD, but this includes the nasty bugs I mentioned. Is there any chance of a no PBD version created using the ipf version as a base?
I really hate PBD, since it makes scoring from certain positions in the box so easy, to the extent that I find myself deliberately not scoring just so I don't feel like I'm cheating.
Any chance of a Player Manager with NO PBD based on the ipf?

That could well be possible.
I'm insanely busy at the moment, but if you can send me a link to the ipf, then I'll take a quick look, and if it's a simple process I'll make the modification instantly for ya

Wow, that'd be great, Steve. Since you've already done this on the adf version, would it be the same process on the ipf version?
The ipf version is linked on this website:

Many thanks, and good luck!
PS: Now all we need is for you to add aftertouch!

No quick fix here I'm afraid.
I as suspected, it looks like the copy protection is still there, so some work would be involved in removing that first before applying changes.
Looks like you'll have to wait a while longer, sorry!
(unless you can find a working ADF of that version of PM )

Curses! I don't know of any perfect adf version of the game, but I imagine you already knew that.
Thanks anyway!

Steve, have you been able to make any progress on this?

That's okay, I know you've got loads of other stuff to do.
I'll check back again in another couple of years.

...as I understand it, Jesper copied the 1.4 IPF to an ADF applied Oracle's cracks, giving us a 'clean' but distributable version of 1.4 ...the rest is history as they say.
I did a similar thing with FW (although the cracks are applied differently due to the encryption). Hence the starting points for KO2CV and FWCV are as close to the original as possible.
Re: Any chance of a Player Manager with NO PBD based on the ipf?
Stainy, are you saying that there's a cracked adf version that doesn't have any bugs i.e. so it's as bug-free as the ipf version?

The cracked version I use in Winuae plays the same as my original I`ve played with for 10 years!!
Re: Any chance of a Player Manager with NO PBD based on the ipf?
Is this still needed? If so, I can crack the IPF version easily, just let me know.
