SAVE THE DATE - 9/11 - For the 2024 World Cup

Dear Gentlemen and Gentlemen

As discussed at the Torremolinos World Cup, the Nottingham team will be preparing a bid to host KO24. This is not to stop anyone else offering to host, it is mainly to show interest from our side and to have a solid option in place as early as possible. Last time I organised in 2006 it was after another bid fell through and it left me 2-3 months to get everything done. This time I hope to have the bid finalised by January and presented here on the forum, so there will be nothing amatorial about this one.

The date is going to be 9/11, that's right the REAL 9/11 which is the weekend 9th-10th of November. Someone please explain to Thor not to come early on Sept 11 unless it is to get around the jet lag and do practice games for two months.

I am currently looking at a range of hotels in Nottingham City Centre to find one with excellent conference facilities which can also do us a good offer on rooms, breakfast and lunches. I will also present a well-researched set of travel options with the bid (best options being EMA and BHX airports).

Please allow some time for me to research and plan out the bid and, if anyone has some suggestions or requests (sorry, no beach or Acropolis in Nottm) please leave them below.
