Art (KO2) Imitating Life !!!!

Postby gdh82 » Fri Nov 09, 2007 12:29 am

Not only have I not seen a goal scored quite like this before, it is uncannily like David Beckham's wonder goal from yesteryear!!! The credit goes to Simon K for this goal with a record breaking distance!!!!!! 8)

David Beckham scores from his own half

David Beckham scores from his own half in KO2

76.4m!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8)

I didn't think it was possible for the keeper to get caught out by the bounce! Maybe the attacker and defender caused the hapless goalie to take his eye off the ball for that crucial split second ?

After recent pitch calculus I can say that you scored from 58,27m!
But, about this accuracy I think that we must wait CV1.00 ... :)

I know that Sid's got a cracking real-life equivalent goal to post to this thread too! :)

If YOU score a KO2 goal that mirrors an actual goal, please do post it! 8)

Actually, Simon K's goal has a touch of the Paul Robinson about it too!

I watched that video just yesterday night, as we can see, SWOS engine is really advanced in comparison with KO2 engine. in KO2 it is impossible to hit the top side of the crossbar with a BLC, even if we perform the BLC on the white line.
Beside this one, I really love the headers and slides routines of SWOS: from this side, it is really really advanced in comparison with KO2.
I watched that video then.

I don't know SWOS so deeply, so I don't know if this SWOS video is AMIGA or PC, but, it is possible to see crowd animations, banners animations. Even the ball animation is more credible of the KO2 animation... the main problem of SWOS is the flimsiness of players on the pitch: it is possible to steal the ball passing through the player who is running with the ball, and, above all, the ball control is incomparable with KO2, we are leaving in another one planet, actually!

I scored a goal in TI 0,71 that is similar to Maradonas goal 86.
