No it wont :-(. I desided not to come, have another event on Saturday, so it will be too much Stress, and I don't get a flight back on Sunday evening.

Sorry guys, see you next UKC.

Is the attendance list still up to date?

Rob are you planning on Attending/winning?

UPDATE!!

UKC NEW VENUE LOCATION OR KEEP IT IN BIRMINGHAM?

Unfortunately it looks like Gaz, Steve and Simon K are unable to make the Sunday UKC for family reasons. This UKC won't be the same without you guys!

Their attendance was the sole reason for picking Birmingham as the venue, so it looks like we have the option of changing the location to somewhere more convenient to travel to for the rest that are still attending.

We are open to suggestions, I could even host it in Bournemouth but I know that is bloody far away!

Currently, we only have 4 or 5 people confirmed, no one has heard from Rob so it could be 4! Do we:

1) Change venue to London, Bournemouth or anywhere more convenient?
2) Cancel the UKC?
3) Other (ideas are welcome!)

Mark and I are not sure what to do as forum response to this is slow.

First off the UKCs cannot be cancelled. No way!

Regrettably the change of date from 14/7 to 28/7 became the problem for me, Thorsten and Simon K (though Steve E was okay with it afaik). We'd all still like to attend a UKC of course so my suggestion comes under option 3 - stick with Brum to maximise player numbers and find a better date.

I know it isn't easy but thanks again for all the work you and Mark are putting into this.

Wherever/whenever it is, I'll be turning up with a shiny new KO2CV disk :)

Hi all,
for me Birmingham is a 90 minute drive. London is 3 hours drive/train on a Sunday arriving King's Cross 10:34. Bournemouth is a 4 hour drive so I'd come on the Saturday.
Also happy to change the date, I can't do 6/7 July but currently free any weekend after that until December.
I now have my WinUAE and USB joystick. I'm sure I used to be better on the Atari.

Durban, did you get my Facebook message? I phoned the Hotel tonight and they have the week before and the week after free. So if you are able to do this then good times!

If you are able to do this then it will be a whole weekend of ko2 extravaganza that's for sure.

EDIT: Just realised it was Andy who posted. ANDY!! The Hotel are free and easy mate in changing the date so if everyone else is then great times.

I'm super enthused for this UK Champs and even pondering whether to host it next year, although you can get bruised due to how many people don't respond. However, what with Gaz and myself posting, consider the KOBRA boys responding and WILLING not to just have a Sunday, but to have a WHOLE WEEKEND of ko2.
The possibilities are endless:

* Real football on Saturday by renting out a pitch at goals (I can get all the details for this and arrange)
* KO2 tournament at mine on the Saturday.
erm.. okay, that's all I can think of lol

But we don't want your weekend to be spent simply playing on the one day...where's the fun in that? We want to play and I'm gagging for this..but it's the date that's a bit tricky.

Ok, this seems promising!

1) 03 / 04 AUGUST
2) 10 / 11 AUGUST

We just need to pick one now.

Thanks for confirming Ian.

Need Mark and Robert to confirm.

Thorsten, with these new dates does this mean you can now attend?

Mark has just advised to me on Facebook that he cant make the 21st of July. But he can WORK AROUND the 4th of August as it's his dads birthday on this weekend.

Andy, I reckon proposing the two dates of 4th August and 11th of August. As at the moment, they're two dates that no-one has completely ruled out yet.
EDIT: Plus if Mr. Swift is out there, it gives him more time to practice at Planet Kobra in the intervening weeks now he's back in blighty.

Sure, that is fine with me. I can do either. But, it looks like 10/11 AUGUST might be better for Mark.
