waynie wrote:Garry, considering where you forced Fabio to play his game with you from the other week, I would be interested to see how the pre-game tussle for Amiga territory goes when you play Wonka! My guess is that the jostling will not be confined to merely pre-game!

I know how bad it looked but I don't believe any jostling took place - we just started like that - honest!! That picture still cracks me up though!!

Watch out Wonka!!

I'm bumping this thread because it represents all that is great about Waynie's legacy to the KOA. He may have retired but the scumminess will live on.

Waynie hasn't retired for life. He'll be back. He MUST be.

As BountyBob quite rightly brought reminded us...Waynie is the UK's 3rd best player! We need him!

He was the 3rd placed UK player at the UKC's last year, he's hardly the 3rd best player in the UK! Besides, he's Hong Kongish.

I know what you're saying Bbob but Waynie could only play the players in front of him so if came 3rd place that makes him 3rd best in my book too! :)

Anyway, what really matters is that we all want Waynie back... come on, mate...

I'm not taking anything away from him, it was a fine performance. But he's really not the 3rd best player in the UK and that is the truth. Aside from the two that finished above him, there are, Wonka, James L, the Beards, Martin J, Dan C, Ben G. And that's just off the top of my head.

So that makes Waynie the third best active player in the UK.

Except... he's now retired!

If this plague of inactivity continues to spread, even I must be in with a chance of getting into the top 10 active UK players!

Active players are listed in the published rankings. Above Waynie we have:
Steve E
Lee M
James L
Mark B, (WTF am I doing ranked above James L ffs??!!, retabilise James L)
Simon B
Dan C
Steve C
James B
Martin B
Ben G
Jon G
Robert S
Martin J

That makes Waynie the 14th best active player in the UK. :eeko:

According to KOASI, 6 of those people didn't play a ranked game in 2007 or (so far) 2008. Is this a new definition of the word "active" of which I'm not aware?

FFS fellas!!!!!
Lets not argue about Waynie's KOA rank, we just want him back!!!!!!

He could 3rd or 300th best for all I care, he's a big part of the KOA for me and that's the long and short of it!

I'm not concerned about Waynie's rank, I'm trying to protect the integrity of the English language!
