Original: No PBDribble + a few bugs fixed (like the one that the ball goes through the net without the goal being scored until a player touches the ball again)
Galahad/FLT Crack: it is a cracked original
With no intentions on starting another war... you don't actually believe this do you? It is obvious that PB Dribble isn't a result of the Oracle crack.
Remember that original KO2+WC90 floppies have PB Dribble (I have one at home)
It is an Oracle related problem my friend. The only person who knows the Kick Off 2 code better than me is Dino Dini... and thats it!
The majority of the checksum code in the game works from variables/macros setup in the assembler, so Dino doesn't have to physically work out what a checksum would be.... all except one! And this one checksum that was coded totally differently from the rest of the protection code is why the game screws up. I believe that unlike the rest of the copy protection code, which could be left untouched, this one piece of code had to be modified for each seperate version.
Its quite easy to prove that I'm right, because all I have to do is put an option in to NOT remove the final protection check, and I'll bet you money the PB Dribble bug will be evident again.
It IS copy protection related.... it IS Oracle related. The fact that some different originals have it backs up my code claim.
I can assure you I have fully researched this... have you?
Is this bet still available as I would like to take you up on it, if it is ?
