Speaking with the president of CV Electronics I got to know that the systems was: 1 pixel=0,1 m that makes the pitch 139m long (the ko2 pitch length is 1392 pixels long, goal to goal).

This pitch lenght seemed to me too much long and the conversion system was not perfect but near to perfect so I investigated on real soccer pitches.

We know that there are some restrictions of lenght and width about an international soccer pitch and I'm sure that . beside this one, some leghts are fixed and always the same on every soccer pitch, as the PB area, the midfield circle radius, the penalty spot distance and goal line; distance between posts of the goal.

About the speed, we know that the fastest man in the world runs 100m in (about) 10 seconds. (AVG speed 10 m/s)

A regular international soccer pitch cans be long

**100 to 110 m**. and it cans be wide

**64 to 75 m**.

with the unit of measurement current, the KO2 pitch is too long.

Trying to find the correct system to convert pixel in meters I used the lenght between the penalty spot and the goal line but the graphic approximation (because of the tilemap) was too high so I changed, using the midfield circle: the radius is 128 pixel(a really good number ) and looking the graphics, seems to me that there is the lowest level of tilemap graphic approximation so I used it:

real midfield circle radius is: 9.15 m.

128/9.15=13,989 (we can say 14) so 1 meter =14 pixels.

In this way the KO2 pitch is long 99,5 m (we can say 100m ) and the pitch is wide 65 m! (912pixel/14=65)

It could be really good but we have to check the other real linear measures on the pitch, as goal dimension and penalty box.

comparing the real measures with the two systems we have:

goal width: 7.3m(real); 9,6m(1:10);

**6,9**(1:14)

penalty box width: 16,5m (real); 21,2 (1:10);

**15,4**(1:14)

penalty box lenght: 40,3m (real); 52,8(1:10);

**37,7**(1:14).

It works! the circle radius was perfect!

Keeping in mind that Dino had got the tilemap limitation, he had a really good result in to keep the right aspet ratio of KO2 pitch.

With this conversion system, we have the player speed more near to human speed: the speed is 30% lower than what we have seen with CV097 (20m/s the double of the top human speed). of course, 14m/s is really high but that is... the ko2 player run really fast!

So we can say that the dimensions of the pitch are:

**100m x 65m**.

please, note that: these dimensions coincide with the minimum dimensions of a regular international soccer pitch!
