When UKO will be released, ko-gahtering.com will be on package right??? that will give us a boost on visitor numbers and KOA members, that's for sure. But, can we handle this kind of visitors to our site. We have only got 25 mb of disk space now and with a large amount of visitors the PHP database will grow very quickly. Also we have a bandwith limit of some GB. If we cross this we have to pay extra. It's gonna be great to see so many new visitors, but the large numbers have a price. How are we going to solve this upcoming "problem" ????

As i've said many times before, i'm perfectly willing to pay Membership fees for the Association. If we each pay something a month it could cover this site and perhaps some parts of the Next Tourament. Could we use Paypal or something for the money transfers.

Can we make it a yearly charge.

Or at least have the option of paying per year?

I'm up for paying, no worries.

A year fee would be just fine. Paying once a year is less annoying than sending a check month by month. It's not that expensive.

I don't think we get into problems. The capacity we've got should be sufficient. Also one of our main goals is the highest number of members, right? I think a membership-fee would lower the count of members, because only the diehard-members would pay, I think.

You're right there Tim. I guess you could have a policy that means Paying Members get extra stuff. Dunno really. Just adding ideas into the Mix really <IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

I think Acclaim could help us on this one. Their policy is to support forums like this where involved in one of their games. Steve?

Taken from the official site of Acclaim:

"In addition to supporting dedicated consoles, portables and PC gaming, Acclaim is looking ahead to the growing popularity of Internet gaming by establishing its own online division, Acclaim Online. Acclaim Online is committed to creating a new form of gaming by 1) enhancing the company's core brands giving them Internet connectivity; 2) building online communities, and; 3) delivering exciting new multiplayer game play over the Internet using Acclaim's exclusive NetSpine technology."

I think Steve hit jackpot with Acclaim. These guys mean it. If the market embraces the UKO, as they should do, then the future of this game is going to be GREAT!
