When the poll ends we will begin with the work urgently for this years wc (talked to Michael Ma today, we discussed some interesting things for the WC evenings). The dates should come within the next 4 weeks.

Friday november 1st is a holiday in some countries:

wikipedia wrote:All Saints Day, a Holy Day of Obligation (Roman Catholic Church). A holiday in Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Croatia, Ecuador, Finland, France, Germany, Guatemala, Hungary, Italy, Lebanon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta (for schools only), Mauritius, Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Seychelles, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and parts of Switzerland.)

Although makes it easier in some aspects, it may increase the price of flights.

It's the only weekend we could offer in november, on all other weekends the tournament hall is booked by other events.

Just looking into this, it seems there are no longer any airlines that fly to GRAZ from the UK (possibly elsewhere?)

Options for UK are Salzburg or Vienna, whilst Salzburg is nearer direct, the route you have to take is around the mountains and thus around 3.5 hours.

Vienna is about 3.2 hours....

Could be quite a trek, do any local Austrians have any advice on this as we all know UK players are Lazy at the best of times?

I am sure we flew to Graz last time

found an Austrian Airlines flight between Heathrow and Graz for around £250 but thats red ticket so no bag allowance and you can't get a refund for cancelling...also goes via Vienna so you have a stop there for between 3 and 5 hours both ways.

Times getting there are 6am arriving 12.50 which is fine if a bit early

Or 9am getting in for 22:00 :(

coming back is a bit of a mare.

will keep looking for us UK players.....

hm...unfortunately the direct flight from Stansted to Austria have been canceled this year so there´s no direct flight anymore. In your case I would prefer a flight to Vienna (costs..) Salzburg is a longer road to us (but definitely the more beautiful way ;) )
In case that many of you are going to Salzburg or Vienna it should be possible to organise a pick up or maybe our friends from vienna can pick you up ;)

Nonetheless we´ll keep you updated if we find a solution for this problem.
