German Championship 2012

Postby FrankF » Thu Aug 23, 2012 9:13 pm

Hello everyone,

I proudly announce that we have a confirmed date for this year's German KickOff2 Championship:
October 6th in Mannheim - my home town.

I am keen on defending my title, but it will be hard due to the well-known organizer syndrome...

This one goes out to all international players who can't wait to play KickOff until the WorldCup or can't make it there !
Everyone is welcome to participate.

Mannheim does not have its own big airport, but our railway station is only 30 minutes away from Frankfurt airport.
So no excuses there about far distances !

Please PM me for details, if you are interested in coming to Germany.

Greetings

Frank

Thanks for your invitation! Unluckily this isn't my year for Kick Off travelling. I would love to be there. Hopefully I should come on the Kick Off Tour next year.
thanks again!

There were in fact 17 players registered. And even more on the Bench.
But , right now, we are down to 13, with another possible 3 dropouts :evilo:

More drop outs and I will hold the Championship in my kitchen.

What Jorn said!

Hopefully my private little economy crisis will be a thing of the past by October 2013, if so - no other thing is going to stop me...

Yesterday we had a nice Deutsche Meisterschaft in Mannheim.

Thanks Frank for the brilliant organization. Everything worked fine.

Oliver won the title against Frank because he was the better player. The 1st final was a boring 2:2 but in the 2nd final he showed his strenghts. Oliver had more moves and his flanks are hard to defend. Frank had a great defense, but his strikers always tried the same and failed most often. Therefor Frank once again showed us the famous "Fuhrmann flyer" throwing joystick trick. Always nice to see :-)

Behind the elite players I managed to become the best of the rest. It was not that easy because Cornelius had a very good day. Not only beating me in the qualification round, he also had strong results against the new and talented players. But in the game for the 3rd place, the first game was a very good one from my site. I gave him no chance and won 5:1. In the second game we had a draw, cause I was unconcentrated in the end knowing that only the result counts.

In the game for place 5 and 6 there played Michael E. against Andreas Be. Michael played his 2nd tournament and Andreas Be. haven't played since 2003 he said. Both have great technics but they need some more tournament experience. On the other side their game was much nicer to view then my final. Michael won in the end place 5. A suprise, but I thing he has the better mental power then Andreas who was a little bit to nervous.

In the game for place 7 and 8 my personal corner & freekick trainer Horst L. won against Andreas S. Horst had a terrible day and ended below his possibilities. But in this game he showed his effectiveness. Andreas S. played his first tournament had later said, that he is used to the International Teams too much. So we will see if he could change to KOA teams in the future. He was the most successfull Kick Off Looper in the tournament but beside that it was hard for him to score.

what Thorsten said is the nacked truth.
Oliver is at least one level above me due to better andwell trained standards in his goal approaches.

But here are all the details in numbers

Compliments to Oliver for the prestigious victory. It is nice to see such duels with Frank, 2 wonderful players with completely different game styles.
Compliments to Thorsten and Cornelius too, the first for a great play off and the second for a very good performance in the league phase.
