Guys I am in my weekend now. Over the next 36 hours I will provide information on airport collection, accommodation, equipment needs, tourist activity, cash, tournament details, etc.

Please be aware though that for the main time, your holiday in Dubai is going to be self-catering/self-guided. There are 10+ of you and just one of me. On 4/5/6 March I will not be working but the rest of the time I will be working 12 hours a day on selling mobile phones to arabs.

As you do not have to pick us up from the airport, my flight details are just for your information:

Arrival in Dubai, Sunday 27th, 11:30 p.m. with Flight EK46
Departure from Dubai, Sunday 6th, 02:30 p.m. with Flight EK47

I will probably only be reachable via SMS / Mobile after Sunday. I hope you can PM or Email me your Phone number and address that I asked you for until Sunday.

Thank you very much!

Tournament Details

Location: Menton Room, Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach link
Date: Saturday 5th March 2011
Time: 10am Start; room opens 9am
Tournament Fee: AED0000.00
Players: 9
Format: Play x2 league
Slides: On

** Fucking important ** Fucking important **
Do not eat a large breakfast or plan a large dinner on this day.
We will all be eating a buffet LUNCH in the hotel restaurant. It's a five star hotel and we will be eating there for two hours. It's included in the fee I agreed and I want to see everyone eating as much as possible. I have agreed 12-14 people so wives and girlfriends must attend as well.

Timetable:
9am - Menton Room Opens - Equipment Setup.
10am - Tournament Starts, Play first round of fixtures.
1pm - 5 Star Buffet lunch, probably outside in the sunshine.
3pm - Tournament Resumes, Play second round of fixtures.
6pm - Tournament closes. Congratulations to Gianni. Clear room.
7pm - Pre-dinner drinks and cocktails by the pool.
8pm - Onwards, drinking and eating by the beach (ends 3am)

Equipment: 3 Amiga Stations - Cornelius AND Gianni, please bring A500 or A1200 each (NOT A600) and bring ALL cables in case we need to use backup 'modern' TV's.
Prizes: Gianni just buy yourself a medal before you come out and bring it with you. Thanks.

General Information
I am contacting all players by SMS, PM or Email to agree their arrival or accomodation plans. If you haven't heard from me, please contact me now by PM.

Cash - please bring AED100 cash for every full day you will spend in UAE. Expect to pay for everything in cash. You can bring some Euros as well, and if you need more cash I will change it for you at the best rate. I need Euros anyway for when I go to Milan, Athens etc.

Tourism- I will give each person a full briefing when I first see them. I am not about to write 2000 words on Dubai tourism here. Do your research. However here are some SUGGESTIONS for a day out - google them if they sound interesting.

Suggested Days Out in the UAE -
1) Desert Tour
2) Dubai Museum / Bur Dubai Souks / Dubai Creek / Abra Crossing / Deira Souks
3) The Palm Jumeirah / Aquaventure Water Park / Atlantis Hotel / The Lost Chambers Aquarium
4) Downtown Burj Khalifa / At The Top Burj Khalifa Observatory / Dubai Fountain / Dubai Mall / Souk Al Bahar
5) Souk Madinat Jumeirah / Wild Wadi Waterpark
6) Ski Dubai (yes) @ Mall of the Emirates (you can go to this without ANY equipment, it's very good)
7) Abu Dhabi / Ferrari World / Yas Marina Tour

My address / mobile number

I am not putting these on the internet. Contact me if you don't have them. You will be asked for them at immigration.

Thank you very much Robert. As we do not reside in one of the flats, we have no idea when people will meet for sightseeing.
We hope that someone will inform us when you meet on Wednesday or Thursday...

See you soooooooooon...

We will do.

And just in case anyone else had the same worry as Sascha, there is NO unrest on the streets of the UAE. Everyone here is too rich and lazy.

Perhaps I'm not so good in English, perhaps I'm not so good in math, probably both the things. It doesn't square, though...
Robert, is that correct???
