Good to see that video again, Steve - some great memories there
I honestly didn't remember you'd used the same music - quite a UKC co really!

Re: UK CHAMPIONSHIP 2009 | 10.10.09 | ATTENDANCE thread
Fellas, what is the chance of a meal/footy taking place?
I only ask coz I am doing a 1 dayer this time (no overnight stay) so need to work out when things are going to be happening.
To be honest I am not to fussed about a meal this time, but I wouldn't mind a game of 5 a side if we have enough to play in the leisure centre again although I am broken at the moment so not really in any fit state (but I haven't been for 3 years anyway!!!
)
anyway let me know and I will be in Birmingham at about 10.30 next Saturday morning
PS I cannot find an actual start time of the event anywhere? I presume with 12 players we are looking at 11am start (which will probably be 12) and finishing about 4?

Probably quite low, I'd say, unfortunately. We wasn't 100% sure we'd even have a tournament at one stage so these extras got kinda shelved. Having said that there is a pub/restaurant as part of the complex so is within 2 mins walking distrance. I'm not sure where the nearest 5-a-side pitch or if they'd have availability now ? Steve would know more given its in his neck of the woods.
Never say never though - what do others think about some 5-a-side action ? Is there sufficient interest out there ?

We've actually got a few more players waiting in the wings that we're still hopeful will be able to confirm. Player numbers will obviously dictate the format to some extent. Ideally, I'd like to see a format similar to that of UKC'08
10.00 Arrival + Equipment Set-up + Practice Games
10.30 Registration + Payment
10.45 Announcements - Tournament settings and Timetable
11.00 Gold and Silver Fun Cup Draws!!!!
Tournament Commences
18.00 Tournament Ends
Hopefully finalise players numbers real soon but whatever the final number, we should start at 11am SHARP, so everyone needs to arrive at 10.30 at the latest, preferably 10.00 if you're bringing equipment.

Re: UK CHAMPIONSHIP 2009 | 10.10.09 | ATTENDANCE thread
I will be there for 10 then, but historically I am always one of the first there, I move some tables have a few practices and then everyone else shows up about 2.30....and finally Rob shows up and shouts about everyone being late......even tho he is last there!
I then procede to play all my games at good speed and am generally #1 or #2 to finish so get to sit around for about 3 hours whilst other people finish their games off
As for real football lets just can it, its probably gonna be hard to organise now anyway and in terms of timing probably aint great to have after a tournament when everyone is tired (mentally) and even more so when you are running late and need to be at the pitch 30 mins away in 15 mins time!

Hello!!
Just stumbled upon this site and registered, amazing!!!
I dusted off my Amiga the other day to play my mate and former long time Kick Off 2 opponent, who i dont see much of nowadays. We have both moved on to PES on the playstation, but we still both agree there is no competition for Kick Off 2's gameplay.
After a few minutes of re-adjusting to the amazing speed of Kick Off 2, the old tricks started to be drawn from the backs of our minds, and by the end of our first match , which ended 7-5 to him, we were both in the zone! I hadnt played it for over a year, but its like riding a bike, you never forget!
So i thought i'd google Kick Off 2, and here I am. R.A. Scott was in devastating form the other night, playing #7 in a 4-3-3, so I've named myself after the great man!
Ironically its this same friends wedding on Saturday, so i cant come to the tournament, but i will be sure to tell him about all this, and if he gets cold feet on the morning we might turn up with joysticks in hand!
I hope to attend an event in the future.
One thing i want to know, if anyone can help me, is who is the other player on the cover -art for Kick Off 2? Andy Gray (of Palace, formerly of the mighty Villa) is one of them, but who is the other?
Maximum respect to everyone on this site, and its nice to know so many others were bitten and remain bitten by the Kick Off 2 bug!!

If I had kids I would name them after KO2 players: Barrett, Lindsey, Scott, clean up your rooms!

Welcome aboard, mate. You should find a lot of interesting infos on this site. And get yourself and your mate to a tournament asap.
