Waynie and Haydn are prety much retired and I can't be bothered with KO right now. I wouldn't be surprised if Stainy goes though.

....although it's very depressing at the same time to see no commitment or interest from the likes of Waynie, Stainy, BBob and Haydn. This combined with a Beard-clan no-show means we are doing very well if we hit that number.
Completely agree it would be some achievement to reach our target. Here's the state of play right now...
Confirmed
1. Garry C
2. Steve E
3. Mark W
4. Robert S
5. Mandhir S
6. Simon K
7. Graham S
8. Andy G
9. Ren A, KOA Debut
10. Navid S, KOA Debut
11. Jon G
Interested (awaiting confirmation)
Steve C
Andy H
Andy E
Martin B
Grant N
Lee M
Equipment
1. Amiga (Garry C), TV (Garry C), Scart (Garry C)
2. Amiga (Steve E), Monitor (Steve E), Leads (Steve E)
3. Amiga (Robert S), Monitor (Robert S), Lead (Robert S)
4. Amiga (Graham S)
5. Amiga (Robert S)
Yes, we do need more screens - and more amigas too, IMO I think we should be aiming to have at least 7 complete set-ups (allowing for failures etc)
We've definately got a zipstick available for Trader too.
What time should we start, based on 15 players? My rough estimate is that the tournament will take just under 5 hours with 5 Amigas in use. We'd need to have everyone there be 11.30 for a clear 12.00 start. Does this meet up with your booking?
Me and Steve are yet to have a chat about this, as the format of the day depended very much on the number of players. Personally I think we should be looking at a 10.30 arrival and 11.00 start at the latest. If the player numbers permit I'd like to see a couple of fun cup competitions (one for top-8 seeds, another for the lower set) so there's more for everyone to play for. This only adds between 1-3 games. Me and Ste will have a chat about this at the weekend.
As for watching the England game I'd imagine there's no problem with this. Ste - would you mind checking this please mate ?

Me and Camber will be there, which is 2/3 of last year's champion even without the GD cheat.

It's "Camber and I will...".
Btw, there is a way to defend against the GD cheat. It's called "Lockout and Lob, to be sure".
I can't fucking wait to see Simon K beat the crap out of all the old dinosaurs and silly upstarts this year. You guys better hand out shin guards, or the lot of you will watch the England game from the infirmary.

Me know a few more things about English than you, Dagh Nielsen.
Generally speaking, it's dangerous ground challenging native speakers of any language on their grammar, no matter how clever you might be. Because, unless you've (for example) spent significant time living in that country, you won't be fully up to speed with exceptions, common usage, and idiom. Furthermore there is the issue of politeness in that I don't tell you Danish how to draw your Mohammed cartoons so you may, likewise, want to keep your unsolicited advice on the English language to yourselves.

Yeah, and God forbid I ever advice you Brits on humour.

England game will be on the TV. Where's John Wilson ffs? He loved it last year when he would play KO2 and then watch Sheffield Wednesday surviving relegation.

Please put me down as CONFIRMED for this event. Looking forward to it
I will dig out my KO2 stuff today and see what still works, should be able to bring 1 x Amiga and 1 x TV.

Superb news, Martin!
So glad you're attending. Long shot, I realise, but the door remains wide open for James.
And let us know if you're equipment is definately in working order - we do need more stations still.
With 12 full days to go to the event, strangely enough, the confirmed player count now stands at....

Anyone else mulling it over still ? Just do it......

Nice UKC-themed lyric there, Steve.
How about a better, faster, stronger UKCs ?
I think we need to start work on the UKC'09 Soundtrack mate!
