Hi Havoc,

259euros for a 5 bed bungalow, as detailed below, for 3 nights.
(52euros each person) Waynie could take the double room? or Mark & Gaydn...?

(in the top right corner you can see the prices, also availability for 4 and 6 person accomodation)

I don't know how far it is from the party..??

I have confirmed my attendance to the tournament.
I will be present for 1 day only, but I haven't decided if it will be Saturday or Sunday.

So much cheaper booking the bungalow!!!!!!!!!
260euro for the whole weekend's accomodation. 52 or 65 or 71 euro each (5 or 4 or 6 person bungalows, respectively)

opposed to 70 euro x 3 nights = 210euro EACH for the weekend at hotel.

I'm in favour of the bungalow, and 1st dibs on the single bed room!!

Cool! This looks like it could be a nice, fun and inexpensive trip. I am on the verge of confirming...just need to get the dates when my girlfriend will be in UK. Basically, unless I have major issues regarding my research, I should be free to go, since this weekend falls within the time window between my projected submission date and my projected examination date. I am pretty much dead cert to go regardless of if my girlfriend is in UK or not; if she is, she'll come with me, if not, I'll go without her.

Sid, is there a cut-off date for booking the flights and bungalow? My girlfriend should get her dates in UK confirmed by next week, whilst I should get my feedback for my research also next week. Hope this doesn't throw a spanner in the works.

Thanks for your efforts!

the bungalowpark's main entrance is about 1.5 mile from the partyplace:

actually, the partyplace is much closer to the village than this picture shows- otherwise the map is correct. chances are that the bungalow you'd be renting is closer to the "gildeweg" than the bungalowpark's main entrance. if that is indeed the case, the distance drops to about a mile.

Last time at the KORA tournament, I mentioned briefly to the others the possibility of KORA challenging you guys to see who was the least runtiest. Didn't really get much feedback from them at the time, but if others are also interested, maybe we could make an expedition?

Maybe.... if Mark and Darren go too, then I most likely will too.

I've been to Holland once ... a stop over just for a few mins from Italy.
Didn't get a chance to see the attractions...

how far is Amsterdam? Closest airport?

A couple of hours distant by train from Amsterdam. The closest city is Arnhem and the closest airport should be Eindhoven. But let some dutch confirm this

arnhem is nearby indeed, but the closest city is doetinchem and the closest airport is duesseldorf/weeze (aka "NRN" - NiederRheiN)

and indeed, amsterdam is about 2 hours by train from doetinchem

I just phoned Holland from my mobile...

Bungalow:
Right, if the bunaglow gets booked, you only have a day to cancel it. It's not like a hotel where you have x amount of time to cancel prior to arrival.

Good news is that they have a few 5 person bugalows available at the moment!

There are other charges too... booking fee, bedlinen fee ... and optional extra's for towels (unless you take your own).

Flights:
As for prices for the flights, who knows! They fluctuate all the time. At £3 return (plus the £30.15 taxes) is the cheapest that is possible.
I looked at Expedia.co.uk, and cheapest on there was £48.50 flying with Air Berlin, at more unsociable hours.
