Tables

Postby kRadD » Mon Mar 26, 2007 4:00 pm

Hi Bounty Bob,

There will be two tables with space for 4 Amiga. So we will setup up to 4 Amigas. I thing I will setup my ATARI Falcon as well for coding and plan to sleep under my ATARI.

As I wrote, I want to organize a hotel as well as you could sleep in the sleeping room.

I am very keen to come and I am pretty sure that I could bring a few others with me. I definately will not be sleeping under any tables though and will require a nice hotel. :D

Don't even know if I'm going yet. If I do go, I will be going out on the Friday and coming back on the Monday. Don't want any of that hectic rushing about this time. :D

If I do go, I too will want to fly out on the Fri and return on the Mon. It's supposed to be a fun trip ffs - how can it be fun when you are more stressed than when you're at work!

I have a few things to sort out before I can confirm. Hope to let you guys know soon! :)

Will there be anything interesting for the wife to do, if I take her along??

She wants a holiday, and this could fit in perfectly ... if she agrees!

The last time I drove to Bruge, Belgium, and walked around a camp site looking at Vauxhall Nova's and Astra's, she didn't really approve!
(this time I shall be playing games!!!) lol

Maybe devote some time to her then? or just leave her at home!?

One of the things influencing my chances of attending this is my girlfriend coming over to UK for a job interview. At first, I was resigned to not going and spending time with her instead, if her stay coincides with this event. Having spoken to her this morning, she told me that she didn't want me to miss the event and has offered to come and support me!

So, like Sid, it might be me and the other half. :)

hi!

i'm havoc, main organiser of the outline party.

i noticed some people are interested in flying to the party from stansted. according to the ryanair site, a return flight from stansted to duesseldorf/weeze airport (also known as "niederrhein") is currently priced at 33.15 UKP (including taxes(!)).

duesseldorf/weeze airport is located at about 45km driving from the partyplace. since it's mostly b-roads, this 45km takes about 45 minutes. if you want to be picked up at the airport, please contact me or thorsten so proper arrangements can be made before the last moment :)

concerning hotels: there is 1 hotel in braamt itself:

http://www.graaf-hendrik.nl/

roomprices start at 70 euro/night here. this is the only hotel at walking distance from the partyplace. i can't say anything about the quality of service, or about the food, but according to the owner of the partyplace their reputation is good. if graaf hendrik is not your type of hotel, or if they're already booked, please let me know and i'll be happy to supply contact details for other nearby hotels.

another option would perhaps be to rent a bungalow at the nearby landal greenparks facility:

http://www.landalgreenparks.com/templat ... rkcode=SBK

whether or not the ladies would enjoy staying a weekend in braamt or not... well, that's hard to say without knowing what the ladies would be interested in doing. outdoors recreational facilities are available in abundance in the nearby area, there's cute medieval town with a castle, and doetinchem city centre is just about big enough for a couple of hours of shopping. etc etc. but don't expect big city facilities... to keep it in football terms, supporters of the doetinchem football club ("de graafschap"- nr. 1 in the 1st division atm) are proud to call themselves the "superfarmers", and there's a reason for that. ;)
