As someone who has travelled to Sweden (Lund), Holland (Groningen), Greece (Athens), Italy (Milan) and Germany (Cologne) all to play KO2, I hope this is not the end of my travels.
Sorry Jorn that I missed the FAKO International (but at least we got you for FAKO/LOKO).
Please can anyone organising a tournament post the details on here, and whether they accept KOAers from other countries. I need a plug and play tournament! I don't mind catching a plane. I do it all the time for my job.
Looking for International tournaments

Easy Rob. Just let me know when you're coming, and I'll put up a tourney. Would be honored to let you stay at Casa Fresh.

like this year with gunther & his gf we can host an international tornament, we have a full empty house with 2 bedrooms and plenty of amigas and monitors stolen from the 2004WC
From january there'll be the opening of the (third) new airport only for no-frills flight companies so it'll be easy enough to go here (also from Rome
), we live just 30 mins by train from venice so it's just perfect for a kick off-touristic travel
the only problem is that it's a windy region
beside of that everyone is welcome and we can guarentee free hosting and a bunch of not trained players so plenty of glory and ranking points available

We will have the German Champs this year. At one of the weekends from 26. November to the weekend before Christmas.
We will decide in about 2 Weeks on date. Will be around 10 players I guess.
With Stefan, Thomas and Michael O etc.
You would be very very welcome!!! The event will take place at my home.
No big luxary but a lot of fun

Certainly we will organize an International tournament in Milan in February 2007, something like the last Milan International Tournament in May 2006 but we will change the venue, I found a new big and cheaper venue, I'm sure that also this venue (like the venue of May2006) can have got the gift stamp 'International Quality (Swift Standard) Facilities [IQSSF]'

Oh, ffs Rob. We're working on setting the date for the next Östersund-Challenge as well. Hopefully we'll manage to lure the Loites and some danish players, so it'll be a Scandinavian-Masters.

I'm waiting to see where the WC is before I commit to any international tournaments... to attend that is my no.1 priority for 2007.

WC2011 #20th position
WC2011 Rodolfo's new arch enemy and Silver Cup dream ender!
WC2011 The KOA's new bowling champion
UKC2009 #1 Silver Cup Winner
UKC2007 organiser
Wow thanks guys! Great response.
All facilities must conform to IQSSF, I agree.
Actually I checked out Ostersund, and it's affordable to get a flight from Stockholm. With the SAS! No terrorism on that plane.
I'd like to visit Stockholm sometime anyway, so it would mean a first leg from Stansted with someone.
It's an interesting possibility. With Glenn, Klaus, Jacob and John the Scandinavian title will be a non-runty event!
Thanks also for the other invitations guys. Before I commit to anywhere, I'll need to get my re-training programme underway. What usually makes me want to travel for KO2 is the idea that I could give people a good game when I arrive. I need to work on several things, including my attack variety and lob-blocks. Once I'm a reconstructed KO2 player I'll be ready!
