World Cup 2006 - REGISTRATION FEE AND PAYMENT

Costs this year as follows:

Venue, Tables, Food, Projector Screen: £1029.83
Trophies: £44.94

Total: £1074.77

Obviously this amount doesn't include hotels, restaurants, T-Shirts or anything else...I'm sure you know this.

I'll be collecting £20 from each registered player on Saturday, between 11am and 1pm. I need payment in UK cash. Please can we make this £20 notes as much as possible..... and I don't want any coinage please.

Not meaning to scare people but I've organised many tournaments of 15+ players and my experience is always that someone has a surprised look on their face and mumbles "Oh sorry, I'll pay you later." Often this does not happen... Therefore with 54 of us I'll have to enforce a very strict 'No pay, No play' policy this year. Until you've paid your fee, you won't be playing any fixtures....at least not any in the tournament! It's very easy to remove someone's fixtures. Be ready for me to reply "Go to the cash machine!" if you tell me you aren't in a position to pay when I ask.

Cash Machines are located on Rickmansworth High Street.

I'm sure people can work out that 54 players x £20 = £1080, which almost exactly covers our costs of £1074.77. If one person doesn't pay I have to subsidise the event. We've just had two dropouts and I hope we don't have any more....otherwise I'll be looking for volunteers to help make up the deficit.
