Good work folks.
Good to see Mark and Sid get comfortable victories... and not get too badly hammered by the robot. James is soooo tough to score against. Well played ex-UK champ. Hope I'm NOT in your group next week...

Just remembered a funny goal from last night, think it was against Martin. He had the corner bug where the ball goes to the other end of the pitch and his man ran down to take it. He crossed it to the midle with the intention that the keeper get it but it all went horribly wrong. The ball went past the keeper who proceeded to chase it but couldn't catch it up before it left the area, so he ran back to his goal leaving the ball just outside the box. My Barber was the first man on the scene and arrived with no defensive presence, so with a simple one on one I got the goal. Neither of us could believe his keeper hadn't got it and it made us both chuckle. :D

There were so many fumbles from lobs last night too (many against me!)

I scored a great goal from the "channel" ... between the edge of the penalty box and the side of the pitch ... and as far out as the penalty box.
It was a normal shot ... but it flew in!!!

James and I were like ... "WTF was that"!?

You're mistaken. It was Martin and I.

I'm really sorry Jim. All I can say is that it's something I've never really thought about. I've smoked so long outside buildings and in streets, that it's something that never really occured to me. Honestly, I 'm really sorry, you put on a great tournement, I'm sorry to rub your face in it like that.
Won't happen again. (well, as you've said!) but anyway, I hope we're still cool mate.

And as a guest, I bought those beers for everyone, didn't realise I had to take the emptys home with me. Sorry.

Don't worry about it John, my boss is cool and will eventually come round to not being bothered about it so I am sure I will be able to have future events there.

I was serious about not being worried about the beer cans, I always ensure the place is spotless before I leave for the night, just did not think to check outside... I always take beer cans and pizza boxes to my trash bin at home, so I would not have expected you to worry about that honestly.

Please do not worry about it or think anything serious has happened, I got a roasting so I passed on the roasting to the people worthy of the roasting..

As far as I am now concerned, the matter is over, forgotten about, no further need for discussion.. zippo..

The night itself was a great success and reminded me of how much fun a KO2 gathering can be.. I like the banter more than anything. hehehe..

Safe.

Safe mate.

The only thing that pissed me off about that night was the fact I actually had to pay for my humiliation with a blister on my thumb.

For the record all my butts went over the fence as they have done at previous Newent events.

I had a cracking tourny, I'll post a write up later.
