Speedball 2

Does anyone feel that this game is far too easy against the computer? Admittadely it's an old game than no-one plays anymore (like Kick Off 2 :lol:

), but quite enjoyable against human opponents. However, I find it impossible to win on Team Manager. This game would be great if released on, let's say, the X-Box, but made tougher. Any thoughts?

Speedball (and especially S2) is one of the few future sport ideas that actually work well as a game, thus I fear a conversion would not be as enjoyable as the original. But it is an ace game, one of the best ever made for the Amiga.

am I the only one who preferred Speedball to S2?

I thought S2 got silly there was too much to do on the pitch, and the teams whilst an added benefit just weren't customisable enough.

Speedball Manager would be an elite game tho

I just liked the simplicity of the first, and the team names rocked!

I can't say I played the first one. Too many things to do on the pitch? I like the coin factor, the pick-ups are exciting with a wide-variety of uses, and the double points factor is good also. However, the stars on the side of the pitch make it too easy to thrash yr opponents.

Speedball is definately better than Speedball 2 for 2 player games.. its one of the best 2 player games.

I am sure I heard somewhere that you could get something for the XBOX that lets you run an ST or Amiga emulator on it, hence being able to play classics like Speedball again.

Erm, I could probably set up an online version of Speedball 2 if you all asked nicely...

Or maybe speedball would be easier...
